I'M PAMELA
Thank you for visiting, and welcome to my site.
I have painted all my life, I was accepted into the American Famous Artist School by correspondence in my 20s but couldn't complete due to travel and family commitments but it gave me the confidence to pursue my art later in life, I've now been exhibiting and working in my studio, in Queensland, Australia, for over 35 years.
I have lived on a coral atoll in the Pacific, in Thailand, and the Greek Islands over the years and my art is influenced by all those changes. I am different in a way that I've never been able to choose one subject. I'm drawn to those quiet moments when someone is lost in their music or their daily rituals or even the twisted roots of a tree, a seaside after a storm, different subjects, but the same feeling of reverence, resilience and the calm that lives under all the noise. I don't paint subjects, I paint moments. I also love colour, rich, vibrant colour. I love using a palette knife for the freedom of movement and for the added textural effect.
I do take commissions and am often asked to paint pet animals.
I do not use AI for any of my artworks.
I have tutored art, both privately and groups, had many art articles published in well known art magazines, painted wall murals, illustrated manuals, exhibited in many solo and joint exhibitions but now in my early 80s I am enjoying my own space in my studio. I am also offering prints of my originals for the first time.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
